THE PRODUCTION CHAIN: REQUIREMENTS

In the early ’90, we started the production chain. This is ruled according to the ISO 22000 certification “Food Safty and Management System – Requirements for any origanization in the food chain”; it establishes the requirements about the planning and the application of a management system of food safety in every factory in the food supply chain. The first aim of this rule is the harmonization throughout Europe of the different national standards regarding the development and the management of food safety by applying the HACCP method.
It can be adopted by every sctor in the chain, not only directly involved in the food production (i.e. producers of packaging, cleaning services, etc.).
The management project of the chain aspires to add value to the product according to the following requirements:

NON-GMO FOOD

Every breeding farm in the NON-GMO production chain follows the standards established in the DPT 030.
This rules requires:
  • A careful evaluation of raw materials and the entire process.
  • The adoption of targeted measures for the use of non-GMO raw materials.
  • The absence of cross contamination.

ANIMAL WELLNESS

The moral value acquired by the animal wellness in the last years has pushed all the actors to find new and innovative solutions. For this reason, we have decided to invest on each breeding in order to give them a further adjustment: the PARK cages 5th version. In the last ones, the rabbits stay during fattening.
The main advantages for the animals regards:

  • A wider space of 31.000 cm2 to move on, where they can also stay upright;
  • A plastic layer on which they can rest their paws.

BABY FOOD

Every breeding farm which decided to dedicate their production to Baby Food has a special list of molecules that can be used.
The consequence of our particular care has been the reduction to 1/5 of the maximum residue of the current legislation.

PRODUCT TRANSFORMATION

The transformation takes place in Forlimpopoli, in Emilia Romagna, where all the animals arrive from the breeding farms of the chain, situated in several regions and, consequently, transformed and sold.
The ready-to-cook products are made by the company Delizie Nostrane, in Pescarolo, in the province of Cremona; it is a company of Berti group, certified IFS-BRC Higher level.
